Welcome to The Best Lack All Conviction BlogThis blog is not about anything other than the things I want to write about.
For a long time this blog tried to be about darts and may yet again talk about darts but for now it is about whatever suits my fancy. If that entertains, engages or inspires you, then I guess we are in good company. My sister also has a blog that is written by her pet border collie . Callum the Border Collie ands his Autistic Human Please follow her page and show her some support. She has been having a tough time living alone since our mother passed from cancer. |
I am back and I must confess I am not getting these out as quickly as I might have in the past. Sometimes life simply gets in the way, other times I'm just waiting for things to arrive in the mail so I can take pictures of them! I am back and the news is mostly all good! I have won 7 of my last eight league games and as you might have guessed from the pictures this time around I actually managed to win a set of the new SEWA darts designed by Erik McVay. I just got them today, but for first impressions they fit very nicely in my big abominable throw man hands and managed a few scores in 120-130 range, which is actually quite rare for me. More telling for me though is the feel in the hand as it really is tough to find comfortable darts. The scoring is just a bonus! Let's see if it keeps up...!! To be honest they are maybe a nicer dart than I was expecting. Certainly for the price they are selling at. You can learn a bit more about them as at the SEWA darts site or heck just go direct to RedDragon and order yourself a set! I am also learning that maybe there is a confidence that you develop in relation to how you externally play the game and of course there is also an inner confidence, not just the 'I can do it' confidence, but a sense or connection with yourself and to develop and trust an innate sense of what is right for you. I am and always will be open to learning from the wisdom, experiences and success of others but at the end of the day it is me that has to throw the dart and not me. if I get on a wrong track I'll figure it out, and it might take me a bit but I'll get back on track. What I wont do is second guess myself. I think I am able to get to this point because the Flight School drills have allowed me to get in touch with my stroke. Speaking of Flight School there is some exciting news there as the courses creator and mentor extraordinaire George Silberzahn is currently reorganizing and revamping Flight School and making it better than ever! Ok now Im going to see if i have time for a few more throws before work. See you all next time! The SEWA dart is such a nice looking dart. What could possibly make it look better? Think my new Jeff Smith Fit Flights look quite smart indeed!

Thanks Erik. They really do feel comfortable in the hand, which is something that had been frustrating me a little.
